Francisco José Cox

Francisco José Cox Huneeus (18 December 1933 – 12 August 2020) was a Chilean archbishop of the Catholic Church.[1] He was a member of Schoenstatt Movement. He was Bishop of Chillán from 1975 to 1981 and Coadjutor Archbishop of La Serena from 1985 to 1990 and Archbishop there from 1990 to 1997. He resigned following accusations that he had sexual abused young boys.[2] He was born in Santiago de Chile.

Cox died on 12 August 2020 in Santiago de Chile, aged 86.[3]
